Aboriginal Aquaculture Association

The Aboriginal Aquaculture Association (AAA), established in 2003 and based in British Columbia, is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Indigenous participation in aquaculture across Canada. It provides technical, advisory, and business development services to First Nations communities and entrepreneurs interested in sustainable aquaculture ventures. For farmers and rural communities, AAA helps create opportunities in shellfish, finfish, and marine plant farming, contributing to food security, job creation, and economic growth. By promoting environmentally and culturally respectful practices, the AAA strengthens Indigenous leadership in the aquaculture sector.
