The Alberta Beekeepers Commission, founded in 1933 and headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, represents and supports commercial honey producers across the province. Alberta is the largest honey producer in Canada, with over 315,000 colonies managed by producers who collectively harvest more than 33 million pounds of honey annually. The Commission provides farmers and beekeepers with resources, research funding, and advocacy to ensure healthy bees and a sustainable honey industry.
